When you first start out in coding, the terminal is a scary place. We dont know what it does, we just know its powerful. Similarly, i was scared to tinker with the terminal but after years, moving to linux and general coding, the terminal feels like a best friend. And starting to use Tmux, felt like giving it wings.
The Learning Curve
The initial hurdle with Tmux comes down to its keybindings. Coming from a traditional GUI environment, wrapping your head around a prefix key (by default Ctrl+b) followed by specific commands takes time to build into muscle memory.
Dividing a screen into panes, detaching sessions, and switching between windows feels unnatural at first. But once those shortcuts settle into your fingers, the friction disappears.
